For over a decade, Northern Credit Union has chosen a local non-profit, charity or organization each month to donate to through our Casual For A Cause program. Each month, the Casual for a Cause Committee, made up of Northern employees, presents owners with three local non-profit charities or organizations to vote for. They also have the opportunity to share potential future causes with the committee. Casual for a Cause has donated over $20,000 to local non-profit charities and organizations.
Through this long standing, philanthropic program, Northern Credit Union internal owners have been able to donate to organizations across Northern New York. Here are just some of the causes we have helped:
- Vets Peer to Peer Outreach
- Jules of Life
- Lewis County Humane Society
- Northern New York Autism Foundation
- Ryan Converse Memorial Foundation
- Caps for Cancer
- Paddle for a Cure
- The McIntyre Mission
- Ninja’s Against Animal Cruelty
- Northern New York Kidney Walk
- Feed Our Vets
- Boys and Girls Club of the North Country
