Apple Pay

An Easier Way to Pay in Stores and in Apps

Apple Pay is the latest way to pay for in store purchases using your iPhone® 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus and Apple Watch® paired with iPhone 5 or later. In-app purchases can also be made using iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Air® 2, iPad Pro®, iPad mini® 4, and iPad mini 3.

No more swiping your cards in stores or entering your payment and contact information in apps. Simply pay with the single touch of your finger using Touch ID®. Your card is never stored on your device, and when you pay your debit or credit card numbers are never sent to merchants. Apple Pay assigns a unique number for each purchase, so your payments stay private and secure.



Setup is Simple with Wallet

To get started, you can add your credit card or debit card from your iTunes® account to Wallet simply by entering the card security code.

On your iPhone, open Wallet.
On your iPad, go to settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.

Follow the step by step instructions on your mobile device. After your card is verified you can start using Apple Pay to make purchases in store or in-app.

The Safer Way to Pay

  • When adding your Northern Credit Union VISA® Debit Card to Apple Pay, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the device instead of your card number. 
  • Your actual card number is never stored on Apple servers. 
  • When you make a purchase, the Device Account Number, alongside a transaction-specific security code, is used to process your payment. 
  • Your debit card number is never shared by Apple with merchants or transmitted with payment. 
  • All debit card purchases protected by our $0 Liability Guarantee and fraud monitoring.

Lost iPhone or iPad

If you have "Find my iPhone" turned on in your device, you can log into iCloud and switch your phone to lost mode to suspend Apple Pay or erase your device completely. You can also call 315.782.0155 to suspend or delete the token associated with your card. If you are calling between 5:00 pm and 8:00 am, please contact our 24/7/365 Debit Card Call Center at 1.800.472.3272.

An Easier Way to Pay in Stores and in Apps

Android Pay is the latest way to pay for in store purchases using your NFC-enabled Android device with KitKat 4.4 Software and up.

No more swiping your cards in stores or entering your payment and contact information in apps. Simply pay in stores by unlocking your phone and holding it to the terminal. Choose Android Pay when shopping in your favorite app or online. Your card is never stored on your device, and when you pay your debit or credit card numbers are never sent to merchants. Android Pay assigns a unique number for each purchase, so your payments stay private and secure.

Set Up is Simple

Add your Northern Visa Debit card to Android Pay on your Android device in a few easy steps:
  1. Look for the app on your phone. Android Pay comes preloaded on several devices. If your phone doesn't have the app, simply download it from Google Play.
  2. Simply add a credit or debit card. If you already have a card in your Google account you can simply add it to Android Pay by confirming a few details, or you can add a new card by:
Step 1. Touching the + sign to add your debit card.
Step 2. Position your card in the camera frame to automatically enter your card information. Enter the security code found on your card and provide additional information as required. 
Step 3. For security purposes, you will need to call the number shown on your phone to verify your card.

Lost Phone

If your phone is ever lost or stolen, you can use Android Device Manager to instantly lock your device from anywhere, secure it with a new password, and even wipe it clean of your personal information.

Samsung Pay

Samsung Pay is the most accepted mobile payment. Please see Samsung’s website for a list of compatible devices.

Set up is Simple

Activate
Find the app pre-installed on your phone or download it off Google Play.
Then, sign in to your Samsung account.
Lock Down Security
Scan your fingerprint and enter a PIN, so you can authenticate future purchases. 
Add your Cards
Snap a picture of your card, and provide your signature where necessary. 
Use Samsung Pay
Head over to your favorite store and see how easy it is to check out.

The Safer Way to Pay

  • Samsung Pay utilizes tokenization which creates a unique randomized set of number to be used at each new transaction, so your real card number isn’t used and transmitted.  
  • Every transactions is authenticated by your fingerprint or pin number. All debit card purchases protected by our $0 Liability Guarantee and fraud monitoring. 

Where to Use Samsung Pay

Samsung Pay is accepted almost anywhere you can swipe or tap your card.

Lost Phone

Your payment information is not accessible without your fingerprint or Samsung Pay PIN. For added security, the Samsung Find My Mobile service can remotely lock or erase your payment cards in Samsung Pay. Alternatively, you can choose to erase your entire device and/or removable storage.

When you lock Samsung Pay using Find My Mobile, all payments will be disabled on the device. For additional security, Samsung Pay will request the card issuer to suspend any transactions made from the device. If you locate your device, you can quickly unlock your cards by authenticating your identity by scanning your fingerprint or entering your Samsung Pay PIN.
