Role & Responsibilities
The role of the Supervisory Committee is to perform financial audit oversight, on behalf of Northern's Board of Directors.
The primary responsibility of the Supervisory Committee is to serve as a means of checks and balances at the Credit Union. Through this role, the Supervisory Commitee is responsible for ensuring that the board of directors and management of the Credit Union meet required financial reporting objectives and create and follow practices and procedures sufficient to safeguard members' assets.This is acheieved through supervisory committee audits, verification of members' accounts and review of policies and control procedures.
