Keep your Northern Credit Union share account active to take advantage of all the benefits of your Credit Union membership! Check cashing and dividend posting are not considered account activity.
To avoid potentially incurring an inactivity fee on your account, please complete one of the following steps:
- Make a deposit into your account. Any deposit amount will keep your account active. You can make a deposit via Mobile Deposit, at a Northern Credit Union Personal Teller or deposit-taking ATM, at another credit union in our Shared Branch network, or by stopping into any of our relationship centers.
- Make a withdrawal from your account. You may withdraw as little as $0.01 to keep your account active. You can make a withdrawal at a Northern CU Personal Teller or ATM, an ATM in our surcharge-fee free network, or by stopping into any of our relationship centers.
- Close your account. You may close your account by submitting a signed written request with a copy of your valid identification. You can submit this request via postal mail, through Video Banking, or in-person at one of our relationship centers
