Getting ready to travel for spring break with the family?

With our Online Banking & Mobile Banking app, you can set up travel notifications faster than you can say “bon voyage” and manage your card on the go, right from the palm of your hand!

To submit a travel notice you can easily use Card Controls in Online  & Mobile Banking or by Sending us a secure message with your travel plans. You can also call or text us at 315-782-0155.

To submit a travel notice in Online Banking or the Mobile Banking App.

  • Log into Online Banking or the Mobile Banking App
  • Locate the Account Services tab to find Card Controls
    • If on the Mobile Banking App, click on More… to locate the Account Services Tab. Once on Card Controls, swipe to access other cards available.
  • Click “manage card” on the card you will be traveling with.
  • Click the Travel Notices option and then the “Add New Travel Notice” button.
  • Enter a start and end date.
  • Select a domestic or internal destination and include all state or country layovers.
  • Select Add Destination.
    • Slide the toggle for any additional debit cards you are traveling with.
  •  Click the Save button.


What do I do if I lost my ATM/Debit/Credit Card?

If your Northern debit card has been lost or stolen, contact card services immediately at 1-800-472-3272. We can block your lost card and reissue you a new card.

You can also Block and Unblock your ATM/Debit card using Card Controls in Online Banking & Mobile Banking under “Alerts and Controls” or report it as Lost/Stolen under “Replacement Options.”

If your Northern credit card has been lost or stolen, you may contact Card services immediately at 1-866-570-1238.

You can also use Card Controls in Online Banking & Mobile Banking to Block/Unblock your card under “Alerts and Controls” or report is as Lost/Stolen by following the on-screen prompts under “Card Management” and locating the “Account Services” tab.
