  • Sign up for Online and Mobile Digital Banking!

    If you’re new to Online and Mobile Banking, or joint on an account and creating your own login for the first time, you need to complete the enrollment process. Once you complete these few quick steps, you’ll be on your way to banking everywhere you go!

    You can register from your desktop computer or from the mobile app, once you’ve downloaded the Northern Credit Union Mobile app from your device app store, simply follow the same steps below.

    • Download from the Apple Store here.
    • Download from the Google Play Store here.

    1. Go to onlinebanking.mynorthern.com or open the app.

    2. Click the “Not registered for digital banking?” link.

    3. Click the Register as an individual button.

    4. Review and accept the Digital Banking Agreement and click the Continue button.

    5. Confirm your identity with the required information, and click the Continue
    button.

    6. Create a username and password in the provided fields, then click the Next
    button. Click the “Show Rules” link to view the types of characters to include.

    7. A temporary password will be sent to the contact information we have on
    file for email, text message or phone number. Enter the temporary password
    and then create new password.

    8. Review the user agreement and click the Agree button.

    9. The Dashboard will appear.

  • Logging into your Online and Mobile Banking profile.

    After your first-time enrollment, logging in is easy and only requires your
    username and password. If you are logging in on a device you have not previously
    registered, you need to request a verification code.

    1. Enter your username and password.

    2. Click the Log In button.

    Logging Off

    For your security, you should always log off when you finish your Digital Banking
    session. We may also log you off due to inactivity.

    1. Click your name in the upper right corner of the screen.

    2. Click the Log Out tab.

    3. Close your web browser.

  • Retrieve a forgotten username.

    If you happen to forget your username, you can easily retrieve it from the
    Northern Credit Union Home page—no need to call us!

    1. Click the Forgot Username link.

    2. Click the Find my individual username button.

    3. Enter your account/member number, social security number/ Tax ID and birth date.

    4. Click the Continue button.

    5. Your username will then appear.

  • Resetting your password.

    If you happen to forget your password or lock yourself out due to invalid
    password attempts, you can easily re-establish a new one from the Northern
    Credit Union Home page—no need to call us!

    1. Click the Forgot Password link.

    2. Accept the disclosure and click the Continue button.

    3. Enter your username, account/member number, social security number/ Tax ID and birthdate.

    4. Click the Continue button.

    5. You will receive a temporary password. Enter the temporary password and update your password.

  • Adding an External Account.

    Your accounts at other financial institutions can be linked to Online and Mobile Banking with Northern Credit Union, so you can manage your accounts from one login. You can link investments, bank accounts, credit cards and bills.

    By providing your login credentials, we verify in real time that you own the account you want to link. When you enter your login username and passwords, we use this information to establish a secure connection with your financial institution. This connection allows us to quickly link to your external account.

    1. Click the Dashboard tab.

    2. Click the Get Started button.

     

    3. Click the I agree button.

    4. Search for an institution or select from popular institutions.

    5. Enter your credentials with the other financial institution and click the Submit button.

    6. The system will now bring in your accounts. The spinning wheel indicates the verification is in process.

    7. Wait until the green check appears in the upper right-hand corner and choose close or to link another account.

  • Removing an External Account.

    You can easily remove an external account if it is no longer needed. Any scheduled transfers involving the account will be deleted.

    1. In your name drop-down, click Settings.

    2. Click the Accounts tab.

    3. Click the delete icon to delete an external account.

    4. Click the Delete button.

  • Change Your Username.

    You can change your username at any time. Create a unique username you will remember and follow our required guidelines.

    1. Click the pencil icon next to your username.

    2. Enter your new username.

    3. Click the Save Changes button when you are finished making changes.

  • Change Your Password.

    You can change your Digital Banking password whenever you want to. Follow our guidelines to create a strong password.

    1. Click the pencil icon next to your password.

    2. Enter your current password.

    3. Enter and confirm a new password.

    4. Click the Save Changes button when you are finished making changes.

    5. Choose the contact method that allows Northern Credit Union to reach you immediately with a verification code and click the Send Code button.

    6. Enter the verification code and click the Verify button.

  • Sending Transfers.

    Quick Transfers can be used for transfers between your Northern Credit Union accounts and external accounts for predetermined dollar amounts or for a single amount.

    1. Click the Transfers tab.

    2. Select an account to send funds from.

    3. Select an amount.

    4. Select an account to send funds to.

    5. Click the Submit Transfer button.

  • Schedule Single Bill Payments.

    It is easy to pay your bills once you set up payees. Schedule single and recurring payments to the selected payee.

    Note: You can only pay bills using your Northern Credit Union
    accounts. Even if you add external accounts from other financial
    institutions they are not available to pay bills from Northern Credit Union’s Digital Banking.

    1. In the More tab, click Bill Pay.

    2. Use the drop-down to select an account to pay from.

    3. Use the drop-down to select a payee.

    4. Enter an amount.

    5. Use the drop-down to select a frequency.

    6. Select a date.

    7. (For recurring payments) Select when a payment should end.

    7. (Optional) Enter a memo.

    8. (Optional) Check the box to enable a payment alert.

    9. Click the Next button.

    10. Click the Confirm and Submit button.

    Note: Bill payments sent after 4pm will be processed on the next business day.

  • Schedule Recurring Bill Payments.

    Pay several payees all in a single transaction.

    1. In the More tab, click Bill Pay.

    2. Click the Multiple Payments tab.

    3. Use the drop-down to select an account to pay from.

    4. Use the search box or “Tag” drop-down to filter the list of payees.

    5. Enter an amount to pay each payee.

    6. Select a delivery date for each payee.

    7. Click the “v” icon to view additional options for each payee.

    8. Use the drop-down to select a frequency.

    9. (Optional) Enter a memo.

    10. (For recurring payments) Select when a payment should end.

    11. (Optional) Check the box to enable a payment alert.

    12. Click the Next button.

    13. Verify your payments are correct and click the Next button again.
